Humans of St Margaret’s Centre is a media project inspired by Humans of New York, which was created by Brandon Stanton.

The purpose of this project is to tell the personal stories of people involved in St Margaret’s Centre, which will provide an insight into their lives and the work of the centre. The intention is to reduce the stigma around mental health – to show that everyone, regardless of their background, can be impacted by mental ill health, and that we can all at some point in our lives need and deserve support.

We are very grateful for the support of our volunteer Marie, who is leading this project with such enthusiasm and sensitivity, and to our participants for sharing their stories so openly. Participation is entirely voluntary – people can offer as much or as little as they choose, and may withdraw at any time.
