St Margaret’s Centre is available to people aged 18+, who live in County Durham and need support for their mental health and wellbeing. We do not require someone to have a formal diagnosis, as the centre understands the need for preventative care as well as recovery.

People are most commonly referred by agencies/professionals involved in their care, such as CPNs, support workers, social workers and carers, but we do also accept self-referrals. We do not want anyone to face an unnecessary barrier to referral, and will provide support to make sure that the centre is accessible, however we cannot organise transport or provide personal/one-to-one care. The primary reason for a referral must be related to mental health.

St Margaret’s Centre is now part of the Durham Mental Wellbeing Alliance (DMWA). To refer people to the centre, you will need to complete a referral form via the DMWA website.

Once we receive your referral form, a member of staff will be in touch to book a time for you to tour the centre, find out more about our activities, meet the team, and to tell us more about you.

If you would like to book a visit to the centre for either yourself or a person you are supporting before submitting a referral, please phone us on 0191 384 8100, email enquiries@stmargaretscentre.co.uk, or use the enquiry form on the contact page. Visits must be booked in advance.
